Comments:	This is REAL NMR data -assisted target corresponding to T1008. The data are posted at http://predictioncenter.org/download_area/CASP13/extra_experiments/. <p> Zip file for the target includes experimental data for dihedrals, ambiguous distance restraints, and the sequence. With respect to earlier suggested target N1008 (starting from capital 'N'), now both backbone AND extensive sidechain resonance assignments were used to generate the Ambiguous Contact file, so the false positive rate is very low. The sequence has no significant homology to any known protein sequence. Our own in vitro characterization of this protein shows that it is monomeric and contains a significant amount of secondary structure in solution; however, its tertiary structure has not yet been determined. ===== The protein has no intended function, but we are keen to learn if this designed protein sequence folds into the intended conformation. This would demonstrate the ability of laypeople to design stable folded proteins, which has far-reaching implications for protein design, and would mark a milestone in our understanding of the protein sequence_structure relationship.
